File 037

A behind the scenes look of one of my favorite cartoons, Jonny Quest. This video series is about 2 hours long but it is an excellent look at Hanna Barbara and the process to create this iconic cartoon.

Artist John Kascht

This is a great look into the process and the mind of an artist. John Kascht does an amazing job of explaining about drawing what he sees and the way he studies his models. Plus, it is an interesting study of Conan. All in all a very cool video.

More Shameless Plugging

I was tipped off, by Seth Barnhill, that my artwork made it front and center on the Teamcoco site. As well as on Barnhill's blog, thank you again, Seth for the post on your blog!

Family Tales

I am slowly but surely working on a personal book about my families history. I wanted something that my children could learn about their family. This first glimpse in to the book is a true story about my Grandfather and a obnoxious bird.

Fingers Crossed

I have mailed off two prints to Conan O'Brien to see if he and Andy will sign one for me. To hopefully help my chances of this happening I decorated my shipping box to look like a crazy stalker. Honestly, I felt it a good opportunity to explain about all the people who helped me in getting this all done. With each person I mentioned I added a QR code that linked to that persons site, blog, facebook or twitter. Who ever reviewed my box could see the story I was trying to tell. Thanks again to everyone who helped me along the way, here's hoping I get my return mailer with Conan and Andy's signature.

I was on Conan!

Well, not really but my art was! And it was an awesome episode with Tracey Morgan, Larry King in the rafters, Charlyne Yi, and musical guest Infantree. I would have never known about this if a friend from work hadn't told me, so thank you Ryan.

Here is a HD clip of the show if you are too busy for the full episode. Hat Tip, Colin.

Here is the illustration in better quality.

I have two other illustration ideas for Conan that I need to finish. Stay tuned for further developments.

Shark Wranglin'

A down and dirty illustration I did (on my free time) that took about two days to finish it. I am planning on cooking it and other comic stripes into a very low budget comic book. I have been motivated and inspired to create my own comic book from the likes of Sam Spina and Noah Van Sciver.

Comic Books to the Rescue!

A close friend of mine, who is a devoted teacher, was recently written up for his clever reading tactics. He has been working very hard to get more funding so he can find the appropriate comics, graphic novels and other illustrated pictorials that his kids could learn to read. A great article for a great teacher.

Shameless Plug

A friend of a friend sent me a link about one of my illustrations I posted awhile back. It seems that Team Coco liked my work enough to post it on their site. I can't tell you how ecstatic I am about that, thanks Team Coco!
